• Ciragan Palace Hotel Kempinski / BOSPHORUS, TURKEY

Hotels + Tourism

Dating back to the 16th century, the Ciragan once served as the seaside villa of the Admiral of the Fleet, Kilic Ali Pasha, and later as a gift to the wife of the ruling Grand Vizier, Damat Ibrahim Pasha. Lee and Associates provided comprehensive landscape architectural services, blending a newly constructed 240-room luxury hotel with the historic 10 acre grounds of this former Palace. Lavish fountains, a waterfront promenade, and extensive Ottoman garden area, featuring indigenous plant materials, reflect the site’s rich history, and lavish cultural roots. Today, the Ciragan Palace Kempinski Hotel is rated as one of the top in the world.
